Welders
Welders are found on almost every jobsite in North America. These skilled workers cut and join a variety of materials, from steel, cast iron and plastic to complex and specialized products used on projects ranging from pipelines and power plants, to pharmaceutical and computer chip factories—and more. Projections show a shortage of skilled and certified Welders in North America that could number in the hundreds of thousands. Now is the time to acquire these critical skills.
Experts in the Welding Industry
Welders with the ability to make quality welds for all types of piping are highly sought after for mechanical construction projects nationwide. But great welding skills take time and education to develop, and welders who will make the various types of welds must all be trained, tested and certified for the work they will perform, which creates additional expenses for the individual, contractor and end-user alike. The question is: Where do you go to obtain such training and certifications? The answer is the United Association (UA), an organization that has been training and certifying welders for over 130 years, longer than anyone else in American industry. Over those many years the UA has streamlined those processes, minimized costs and maximized quality for all involved. The United Association invests close to $250 million a year to train our apprentices and journey workers. Our state-of-the-art equipment and training facilities make our commitment to training for the future a reality.
