Veterans in Piping®
More than ten years ago, the United Association established the Veterans in Piping® Program, now widely recognized as a model for training and job placement for military men and women exiting the service. The VIP® program is on seven military bases around the country, and service members who complete the program are guaranteed placement in a local union, as well as a job leading to a lucrative career.

The UA is a participant in the Helmets to Hardhats program, a national, nonprofit program that connects National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military service members with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry.
