Energy and Infrastructure
The Energy and Infrastructure sector of our economy is vitally important to ensuring our countries have an adequate supply of energy. UA members play an important role in the construction of new facilities as well as maintaining and servicing the power plants that have already been built.
Our members hold a variety of industry certifications that prove they have the skills necessary to build power plants and related facilities. Members provide expertise in welding, rigging, layout, instrumentation and piping installation. They work in nuclear power plants, concentrated solar power plants, combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plants, pipelines and water treatment facilities, just to name a few. These facilities require a high level of professionalism and training, and the UA has been up to the task of providing workers in these industries for over 130 years. We deliver a safe, high-quality and productive workforce to the industry while providing a good standard of living for our members.
