Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 412, Albuquerque, NM, has long benefited from ongoing work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), which has employed multi-generations of Local 412 members. The relationship between LANL and Local 412 is touted as having one of the most successful collective bargaining agreements in the United Association.

Local 412 is currently working on a big project at TA-55, the nation’s premier plutonium manufacturing and science facility at LANL. There is an average workforce of 120 to 150 tradespeople normally, but now the crew is 200 strong, meaning the team of 220 to 250 will be in place for the next 5 to 10 years.
