On school nights, the parking lot of Steamfitters Local 420 in Philadelphia, PA, is overflowing with service vans belonging to top-notch service contractors.

The Facebook Data Center in Los Lunas includes a myriad of buildings and has offered robust and long-term employment for the members of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 412, Albuquerque, NM.

In 2018, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 56, Halifax, NS, members and Atlantic Mechanical Contractors, proudly took on the full renovation of a historic building—the old Labor and Advanced Technology Building on Terminal Road in Halifax.

Prince Edward Island (PEI), with its vibrant green fields, colorful houses, numerous lighthouses, beaches, and natural wonders, is a magical place to call home. For the members of Plumbers, Pipefitters, and Welders Local 721, who are fortunate enough to live and work on the island, lately, the work has been plentiful.

The Lackawanna Energy Center, a 1,480-megawatt natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant, is the largest plant of its kind in Pennsylvania and will have the capacity to power more than one million homes in the region. The borough of Jessup, the plant’s host community, will benefit from over $50 million in revenue. The Lackawanna Energy Center is owned by Invenergy with partners, Kiewit and GE (General Electric).

Steamfitters and Plumbers Local 464, Omaha, NE, and Plumbers Local 16, Omaha, NE, have been working for MMC Contractors, completing all of the processed … piping in the new chicken processing plant Costco is constructing. MMC is a full-service mechanical contractor for both Local 464 and 16. The new plant is part of a farm-to-table initiative that will help Costco compete with a small number of companies that now control most of the poultry production in the U.S.
