Steamfitters and Plumbers Local 464, Omaha, NE, was to get 250 gallons of hand sanitizer donated to the Industry. The Nebraska Ethanol Board has partnered with the University of Nebraska College of Engineering and, so far, has produced over 30,000 gallons that has all been donated to people throughout Nebraska. Local 464 and its labor/management fund donated $7,500 to help purchase labels that are required for the containers to be distributed. The ethanol used to make it is all being donated by Nebraska plants that the local partners with.
Local 464 members are shown joining with MCAO Executive, Kelsey Johnson, and had the back dock of the local’s training center as a pickup site so they could get the 250 gallons to contractors and other trade facilities. The contractors will then put it into smaller containers and get it to workers on the job site, as well HVACR Service technicians.
