The Lackawanna Energy Center, a 1,480-megawatt natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant, is the largest plant of its kind in Pennsylvania and will have the capacity to power more than one million homes in the region. The borough of Jessup, the plant’s host community, will benefit from over $50 million in revenue. The Lackawanna Energy Center is owned by Invenergy with partners, Kiewit and GE (General Electric).

MMC is a full-service mechanical contractor for both Local 464 and 16. The new plant is part of a farm-to-table initiative that will help Costco compete with a small number of companies that now control most of the poultry production in the U.S.
